Bagol'Area is a farm, which was started in an effort to reclaim a once-abandoned land. It was previously an old winery.
Our challenge is to try to develop a sustainable economic model outside of the urban context while minimizing our ecological footprint. We think of Bagol’Area as a living organism where every organ is essential to the nourishment of the whole body.
The heart of the farm is the old “Palmento", where grapes were turned into wine. Now the same building houses the Center of the Farm. What once were the “masserie”, houses where workers lived, now are the guesthouses.
All of the buildings have been restructured with great respect for the past and future using green building and energy saving techniques. The fields are organic according to the principles of permaculture.
Our mission from the beginning is to respect the environment!
